Matthew 7:7-8

Ask, and It Will Be Given

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

When Jesus says “ask, seek, and knock” here, in the language He was speaking, he is really saying, “Keep on asking, keep on seeking, keep on knocking.” Be persistant, never stop, never give up.

Some times God says no, sometimes God says not now, and many times He says YES! But we have to wait on Him and trust that He knows better than we do what is right for us and when. God’s timing is not our timing. He knows what we need and He knows just when we need it.

After all He lives in eternity, we live in time. To Him 100 years is just a blink of an eye.

So the key here is persistance mixed with the faith that God will never…ever…ever…let us down.
